- There are over 12,000 registered
(known) orphans in Moldova in 279 orphanages. I work with an
agency that does extensive work with orphans in Moldova and
in 2 orphanages alone, we serve 1,000 children.

orphans are registered in the Republic of Moldova, including
5.200 children who have been adopted, 2.000 living in
orphanages and 279 living in orphanages of the family type.”
